Armistice (Poppy) Day

We joined together in the hall today to spend two minutes in silence, following the online 'Silence in the (Trafalgar) Square' being broadcast. Many children wore their poppies with pride and, in so doing, helped the Royal British Legion charity through their donations.
Children were encouraged to think about British soldiers and others who have died or suffered as a result of war and conflict. Alternatively, they could take time to remember - or think about - loved ones that they miss, as well as considering how they might support peace with their peers.
