Elephants' assembly goes under the sea

Thankyou and very well done to Year 1's Elephant Class who retold the story of 'The Sea Serpent's Daughter' through acting and song.
You all did a great job, guided by the wonderful Miss Clater!

Rhino assembly is 'just right'

Year 1's Rhino class delivered a lovely assembly last week, recounting the story of Goldilocks through acting and a succession of excellent songs. We had a range of performing voices, all the way from loud Daddy Bear to quieter Baby Bear, resulting in a performance that was 'just right.'
Well done, Rhinos!

Year 1 Explorers visit the dinosaurs

An exciting visit to the Natural History Museum was the treat for our Year 1 Explorers today. As well as visiting the dinosaurs to support their learning about pre-historic times, they also saw many other animals from centuries past to the present day.
The children behaved very well as excellent representatives of the school. Our thanks go to the staff and parents who were able to accompany the children on the visit.

Precision art in Year 1

Miss Leeming, our Artist in Residence, was so stunned by the quality of work from our 5 and 6 year olds in Year 1 that she asked me to come and take a look. Sure enough, the children were producing some brilliant, detailed work, drawing the eye of a dinosaur and learning about the use of thick and thin lines, dark and light shades.

Elephants chase the Queen's Hat

A lovely performance by Year 1's Elephant class this morning was centred on an excellent retelling of The Queen's Hat story. With reference to lots of London landmarks, the children spoke very clearly and impressively to an audience which included parents.

Well done to all of the children and to Miss Clater and Miss Butler-White!

Thankyou to Year 1 Rhinos

Thankyou for sharing your lovely assembly about dinosaurs and telling us about some of the things you have been learning. Your song was very good and we really like your dinosaur collages.
Well done to you, Miss Webb and Mrs Chan!
Thankyou to the parents who were able to visit and watch today.

Talented artists in the Infants

We've already been really impressed by the standard of art work in many classes this term. Here are two images from Reception class, by Blessing and Rio, that really wowed myself and Miss Leeming, our Artist in Residence.

In addition to those, Miss Webb was very impressed by the dinosaur collage produced in her Year 1, Rhino Class.
More dinosaurs from Year 1
And lovely, colourful pastel work from Year 2
