Finding out about Benin

Thankyou to Panda class and Mrs Nimmons for their entertaining assembly on the ancient African civilisation of Benin on Thursday. A mixture of acting and drumming was a great introduction to a topic that was unfamiliar to most of the audience.
Well done to you all for your enthusiastic and expert delivery.

Happy Birthday, Your Majesty!

On the Queen's 90th birthday, we can go back in time to 1998 when HRH visited this school, then called Sir James Barrie. There may be some parents who were here as pupils then, as well as staff who were working here at the time...?

See the quiz below the picture.

Greek Gods have got talent!

And so does Panda class it seems...

We were entertained by their creative presentation of Greek gods in their assembly this morning, using a Britain's Got Talent format to introduce the Gods to us. There are obviously many budding performers in the class, supported and coordinated by Mrs Nimmons.

Thankyou and well done to you all!

Tigers tell the tale of Anglo-Saxons

Thankyou to Year 3 Tiger class who shared their History learning in Thursday's assembly. With loud voices, big helmets and costume, they provided a very informative lesson to an audience of fellow pupils and parents.
Thankyou to Miss Holloway and Miss Walker for supporting and preparing the children.

Year 1 Explorers visit the dinosaurs

An exciting visit to the Natural History Museum was the treat for our Year 1 Explorers today. As well as visiting the dinosaurs to support their learning about pre-historic times, they also saw many other animals from centuries past to the present day.
The children behaved very well as excellent representatives of the school. Our thanks go to the staff and parents who were able to accompany the children on the visit.
