World Week

Last week we had a whole week learning about different cultures and countries around the world. From Australia to Peru, pupils learnt about different countries as a year group across the school.
We had some excellent workshops including Egyptian Dancing and Bollywood Dancing, as well as a storyteller for EYFS who told tales from all around the world!
The week culminated in a fantastic singing assembly, with every year group singing us a song from the country they have been studying. This was a great opportunity for pupils to learn about other cultures and also about the rights of children around the world.

Putting others first

Really huge congratulations to the following children, nominated for displaying some of the most important values in life: being caring, selfless and putting others first.
A typical quote from a teacher: "...one of the most kind and caring people I have ever met....impeccable manners and will always make sure people are happy...will be an asset to whichever teacher next year..."

High praise indeed! Pupils and their parents/carers should be immensely proud - well done!

Persevering pupils rewarded with great progress

Very well done to our first 'Golden Leaf' winners this term, rewarded for keeping on going and trying hard, even when things are difficult. Perseverance is key to making progress, getting better.
Life is a marathon, not a sprint and we need to put effort in to get our rewards.

Next week's award will be for those who listen to advice and try to make improvements, as a result.

Kindness in pupils recognised

Thankyou and congratulations to the children rewarded this week for showing kindness to others. We can all be kind at times - and we have lots of really thoughtful children - so these children must be really special to be noticed by their teachers in this respect.
