The following pupils have been nominated for taking pride in their work: working hard on handwriting; taking time and care with presentation; or working hard to improve some of these things.
Very well done to you all!

Day for Change: Helping Syrian children
This week, we have been bringing in our spare (or collected) change to help Syrian refugees. Click the image below for more information from a Junior lesson and see how we've celebrated our support for children in danger.
We hope to have raised around £200 for this good cause. Thankyou to Miss Bennett for organising and promoting this good cause and to those who have been able to support.

Sports Fusion Football Tournament
The Y3/4 football team recently participated in their second football tournament this year at Brixton Community Sports Centre. The pupils played a league format and then qualified for the 'Challenge' cup.
The team were facing Hillmead B team in the quarter-finals, resulting in a 1-1 draw during regular time. Penalties had to decide the match and Griffin were triumphant, eventually winning the game 2-1 on penalties.
Unfortunately, Hillmead were to get their revenge through their A team in the semi finals, beating Griffin 3-0.
Kind regards,

Rhino assembly is 'just right'
Year 1's Rhino class delivered a lovely assembly last week, recounting the story of Goldilocks through acting and a succession of excellent songs. We had a range of performing voices, all the way from loud Daddy Bear to quieter Baby Bear, resulting in a performance that was 'just right.'
Well done, Rhinos!

Role models for homework
Congratulations to this week's Golden Leaf winners, all recognised for their homework efforts. Amongst their qualities are trying their best to support their learning in school, completing work to a high standard, going over and above what's expected and handing in on time.
